Why do Japanese people take one week to recover after giving birth, while Indonesians go home the next day

Why do Japanese people take one week to recover after giving birth, while Indonesians go home the next day?
I read a pamphlet in the hospital (I live in Indonesia) and the minimum package consisted of fees for birth and for a ONE NIGHT stay. "What, one night only?!?!?" was my reaction. How is that possible? Are Indonesians that healthy?

No, they don't have as good healthcare as the Japanese. The Japanese could probably go home, but the hospital allows them to stay for recovery.

Hmm I don't know, I had to stay in hospital for two nights but thats only because my son was born in te first night, it was about 5am when they actually got me to bed that night, I think depending on the time of birth one night is enough

Health Care System will determine the length of stay. One night is not always enough and depends if you have other children to go home too.

me work in Sumatra too, i heard of this news before. the reason, well something supposed to do with the $$$. this is the world of $, no $ no talk ! if u been to the kampung kampung(small village), upper stream pooing, lower stream brushing.they still strong like a cow !!

In the USA, they also don't stay very long in hospital because it is so expensive! My mother is Japanese but gave birth to me in America. She went home the same day and rearranged the furniture in the house by herself. 信じられないでしょう？さすが私のお母さん！When I was a kid and we moved to Japan, my aunt was in hospital for one week after giving birth. I thought Japanese women must be really weak to stay for so long but my mom explained to me how it's just a different health care system.

we are all capable of going home the same day if there are no complications.what do you think they did in the old days. i wouldnt worry to much about it if you need more attention theyll give it to you
