Yep. He's planning on leading the call to the prayers. The "sweetest sound" he ever heard.
2 :
Possibly, so?
3 :
Madrasa is the Arabic word for school. Similar to the Hebrew word "midrash", which also means school. It's just a school... it'd be like attending a Catholic school in the Philippines... you don't have to practice the school's main religion to go to it.

His next stop is Yuma.

He should. http://religion-news-views.blogspot.com/2010/11/httpen.html

Have you ever visited or lived in Indonesia? What language

Have you ever visited or lived in Indonesia? What language?
I'm sorry to be so uninformed, but I have a new co-worker who moved here to the US from Indonesia, this is an Asian country right? I was wondering what it is like there, and what language is spoken. She is a very nice lady, and I'd love to surprise her by saying Hello, or something in her native language. Thank you! Awesome, Thanks Bob B! Do you know a website where I can get the pronunciations?

Hey there, That's so sweet of you! Yes, Indonesia is in Asia and their official language is Bahasa Indonesia. You may want to check out these website for some help: http://wikitravel.org/en/Indonesian_phrasebook http://www.gimonca.com/sejarah/pronounce.shtml This one comes with audio, look at Lesson 1 & 2 for common greetings: http://www.learningindonesian.com/ Hope it helped :)

Yes, Indonesia is an Asian country, more precisely on the South East Asia. The language is Bahasa Indonesia. Hello = Halo Goodbye = Selamat tinggal See you = Sampai jumpa Thank you = Terima kasih You're welcome = Sama-sama Good morning = Selamat pagi Good afternoon = Selamat siang Good night = Selamat malam The pronounciation is as it is written. So, "halo" is pronounced like the ha in hamburger and the lo in local. There's an online dictionary for English-Bahasa Indonesia, v.v below, but they don't provide the pronounciations.

How does it feel to live as a majority

How does it feel to live as a majority...? ?
How does it feel to live as a majority...? As a Christian, Muslim, Budha ect...., because being minority sucks....., people hate you for no reason, kill your relative and and said "got ya".... If you live in Indonesia, you'll change your mind about a lot of things. It is so sad to see someone killed just because he don't want to convert to majority faith (kill=slaughter)

We are all minorities. Christians make up only 33% of the population of the world, therefore they are a minority. Men make up less than fifty percent of the world's population, another minority. People in my age group are less than 10% of the population, another minority. People with blue eyes are a minority. Minority in and of itself is not the problem. The problem is how other people treat a specific minority. We were all created equal in eyes of God and therefore we should not judge one another by the color of ones skin, or ones nationality, or the religion which one believes in and worships. I will pray for you, and I hope you will me. Godspeed.
