Love it here; I'm an expat working in Jkt. Have spent total 71/2 yrs in 2 different jobs. The people are fine, but the politics are immature. It is like many African countries trying to accommodate different tribes into an artificial European-determined sovereign boundary. I guess because Islamic groups were suppressed so long under Suharto, that they are now flowering and they seem to be determined to smother Indonesia's historically rich culture. Sel tinggal.

Very discriminating country !!! Too many radicals organization.. Too many people who think that they are the most holy people.. Not too secure..remember the stupid suicide bomb?
