how long does it take to file a divorce in germany if both parties already live in other country?
hi there, i want to file a divorce to my husband. we married in german law but now both of us live in different already he lives in phillipines and i live in indonesia. i want to know how long it will take and what are proccesses i need to do. thnks. will appreciate your advise.

I would have thought you file for divorce in the country where you currently reside, not where you got married, if you have since moved to another country. But to be sure, ask the advice of a qualified lawyer who specialises in family law.

If the problem is difficult the answer won't be simple. That is why the only answer is to get someone who deals with this kind of thing. First step call an attorney. You can go bargain basement here since he is just going to refer you to the right person. Get active or you will stress about this all the while. That will cut years off your life! Believe me, been there done that, lost many years found much more gray hair!
