If you live in Indonesia, what kind of music do you listen do?
Is it traditional, hiphop, R&B? Local artists vs international?

indonesians are like everybody else. they like what we like

indonesians are very proud and very supportive of their local talent..they have singers with amazing voices especially their female singers. their ultimate rock band is dewa 19. try check it out.

in Indonesia, we hear many kind of music. it depends on the people, which one will you hear. if you live in village, then you will hear more traditional and local music like dangdut rather than other. but if you ilve in the city, then you will hear more rock, pop and r&b or even techno and house in many clubs in big city like jakarta.

Statistically most people still listen to Dangdut, most of them come from lower class tho. Hip Hop Rap and R&B still need more development compared to international the quality stil low and the style only mimicking international style. Pop start to catching up but the quality of newcomers are questionable. Most of the top chart filled with same group or ppl that has been in the business for quite a while. Rarely upper class only listen to local music. At clubs they also put more international songs compared to local
