I don't think so. I don't know if you can get one on a work visa, but I do know you have to have a state issued CDL from the US. You can check out all the driver qualifications at fmcsa.dot.gov. They have an 800 number you can call also. Also, it ain't all about the traveling. You get to see America at 65 mph. There's some pretty scenery, but the time at docks, and in big city traffic, and rude drivers (cars and truckers) makes it seem less than a glorious job. I've been doing it for 14 years and wish I would've finished college.

It's not likely to be easy. You would first have to go through the immigration process and obtain a work permit (3 to 10 years, and several thousand dollars) in the US before even begining the CDL process. Then, you would have to go through the same testing every CDL holder does, find an employer, etc, etc.

You would have to establish residency in the United States AND become a permanent resident (get your "Green card", etc). The DOT regulates that trucking companies can't hire people with work visas or immigrants who aren't permanent residents. If you're serious about trucking, that's what you would have to do. Sorry!
