i stay for a month every year in Bali/Indonesia and with AU$1500.00 I live like a king, aside from your 2 or 3 star hotels ( which are way expensive, choose something cheaper ) you will have enough money to do whatever your heart desires... within reason... have a great trip...

Where about in Indonesia are you going to? Living cost is different in every cities. From my experience: Meals: Rp 20.000 (hawker) - Rp 100.000 (cafe/restaurant) Cup of coffee: Rp 2.500 (hawker) - Rp 50.000 (cafe) Coke? it's only Rp 1.500 very cheap and usually comes in plastic bag :p Tee: Rp 50.000 - Rp 200.000 Jeans: Rp 100.000 - Rp 500.000 Shoes: Rp 100.000 - Rp 2.000.000 (nike) Hotel: Rp 150.000 - Rp 300.000 (2* - 3*) note: try 'motel' it's kinda like renting a room and cost cheaper than hotel. push bike: Rp 800.000 - Rp 2.500.000 (bendable polygon) motor bike: Rp 5.000.000 bus fare: not more than Rp 10.000 i guess (in medan it only cost you Rp 5.000)

hi. it really depends where in indonesia. In Bali You can rent a motor bike for as low as 3 dollars a day, a car for 15. you can stay in hotels 3 stars for $40 a night. A meal could cost you as low as 2 dollars. really entirely up to you.

Lunch? Well, it depends... It can cost for about 10,000 Rupiah... Or 100,000 Rupiah even, I had about 300,000 Rupiah at the most... - - - - - Coffee.. Hmm.... About 50,000 Rupiah or 100,000 Rupiah? Starbuck is quite expensive... But it can be cheaper, if the coffee comes from the country not imported... - - - - - Coke! It's very cheap if you buy it on the streets, can be for 1,000 Rupiah or 10,000 Rupiah - - - - - A pair of jeans, depends on quality.. Can be for 100,000 Rupiah or more expensive or cheaper in the older stores... - - - - - Shoes can be for 300,000 Rupiah or 500,000 Rupiah... Mine costs around 400,000 Rupiah... - - - - - Hotel? It can cost around 200,000 Rupiah/2 days... I'm referring to Novotel.. My favourite hotel near Jakarta.. But if you prefer the one downtown, sorry I can't help you.... - - - - - Bicycle can be around 100,000 Rupiah.. Mine costs around 150,000 Rupiah - - - - - Bus.. Depends, the dangerous Metro Mini or the better Busway.... Neither I know though, sorry.. But it should be around 5,000 Rupiah.... - - - - - I now live in the Netherlands, and have been 2 years away from my country, so I can't answer as accurate as possible.. But I'm sure of it, I'm referring this to Jakarta.. But should be around the same price around the other parts of Indonesia like Bali or Sumatra or other main cities in Java.. But cheaper in the less developed cities in Java, Sumatra and Borneo, Celebes and Papua and so on..
